A commonly unidentified unsafe sleep environment is a car seat that is no longer in the car.  Car seats are meant to be used for transport, and are safe for an infant to be in while in the car. Many babies fall asleep in the car.  Letting your baby continue to sleep in the car seat after bringing them in the home may seem like a good idea, however, the position is now unsafe.  A car seat is safe only at a specific angle, which is identified by a level indicator.
