Property Taxes

Pay the 2025 Real Estate Property Tax bill (for your home, rental property, etc.) electronically.
 

Click on the button below and under Guest Sign In, click Accept and Sign In.

• For Real Estate (your home or rental property), enter your 10-digit parcel number (no dashes) OR house number and street name, and click Search.  IMPORTANT: Do not fill in all fields! Enter parcel number or address only. Choose your 2025 bill from the list.  Then click on the Taxes tab to see your balance.  Click Add to Cart and then click on View Cart.   Click the Pay button and a pop-up will appear which allows you to choose a full, installment, or partial payment. Make your choice and then click Apply. Click Checkout and follow the prompts to complete the payment. 

Echeck transactions will be charged a $1.50 fee.

For debit or credit card payments, a percentage of the payment amount is charged for using this service.  All Credit Card transactions will be charged a fee of 2.55%, and all Visa Debit transactions will be charged a $3.95 processing fee.   The remaining Debit card transactions will be charged 2.55%.  The minimum fee for all payment methods, other than electronic check, is $2.00.  (Vendor fees are subject to change).

The 1st Installment on the 2025 Tax Bills are due January 31, 2026. (Payments made February 2nd are considered timely.) 
*After July 31st, all delinquent prior year Real Estate taxes must be paid to Milwaukee County Treasurer's Office - call 414-278-4033.

Be sure to enter your payment and account information correctly or your payment will be returned and fees will apply. If you are paying on behalf of a business, please follow your corporate guidelines for making online payments to ensure your payment is not returned.

Building Inspection (Permits)* - Payment can only be made in-person, at City Hall

Water/Sewer Utility Bill Payments*

The South Milwaukee Water Utility is now offering its customers the ability to link to your account in our new online payment portal Our Community Connect. 

Creating an account with Our Community Connect will allow you to: 

• Pay Utility Bills using a credit card, debit card, or bank account (*fees apply)
• View Utility Bills and Balance Due
• Sign up to receive paperless Utility Bills
• Sign up for auto-pay
• Receive text notifications concerning your South Milwaukee Water Utility Account
